Dulce RivasLaw Clinic Coordinator
Dulce Rivas has always worked to ensure that laws are just and enacted to protect the most vulnerable individuals in our society. She joins Generation Justice after practicing law in the areas of immigration and criminal defense. Along with her legal experience, Dulce brings years of community service and above all, a passion for justice.
In law school, Dulce’s belief that vulnerable people deserve legal representation regardless of whether they can afford the legal fees earned her the Pro Bono Award with Highest Distinction. Upon graduating from law school, she continued her efforts by organizing volunteers and pro-bono attorneys for various workshops that provided immigration legal assistance at no cost. She now brings this experience to the Generation Justice Legal Advocacy Clinic for Children.
Dulce has received the “40 Hispanic Leaders Under 40” award and is a member of AWEE’s 2016 SheLEADS class. She received her undergraduate degree and her juris doctorate from Arizona State University. After living some time abroad in Spain, she now lives in Central Phoenix with her husband, Jose and her dog, Mr. Pickles.
